Founder’s Biography

Pastor Mwambusa Mwanaume Francis and his wife Shukuru Naluolo foundered MAM in 2019 , The founder of Mtoto wa Africa Ministries is a living testimony of resilience, faith, and compassion born out of personal hardship. Having grown up as an orphan and later living as a refugee, the founder experienced firsthand the pain of loss, displacement, poverty, and the many barriers that vulnerable children face every day.
Raised without parental care and forced to navigate life in difficult and uncertain environments, the founder understands what it means to lack basic needs such as education, shelter, food, and emotional support. These early life experiences shaped a deep burden and passion to stand for children who are forgotten, abandoned, and overlooked by society. While living as a refugee, the founder witnessed many children drop out of school, live on the streets, suffer from hunger, and grow up without guidance or hope for the future. This reality ignited a calling to become a voice for the voiceless and to create practical solutions that could restore dignity and opportunity to vulnerable children and their families.

Moved by Christian faith and a desire to serve, the founder began reaching out to needy children in the community sharing food, offering encouragement, helping with school needs, and praying with families. What started as small acts of kindness gradually grew into a structured vision that later became Mtoto wa Africa Ministries.Today, that vision has expanded into holistic programs that focus on education, childcare, livelihood empowerment, talent development, evangelism, and community support. The founder’s personal journey continues to inspire the ministry’s commitment to not only care for children but also to empower families and transform communities. The heart behind Mtoto wa Africa Ministries is deeply rooted in lived experience: a former orphan and refugee now dedicating life to ensuring that no child feels forgotten, unloved, or without hope.
